I will bow to anyone that can fix this. Using Exchange 5.5 SP4 on NT4 SP6 sitting on the internet running web/email. Using Outlook 2000 / Outlook Express 4/5 on clients over the internet to get their mail.
Here’s the screwy part- everyone can recieve but only the people on non-modems/fast connections can send mail! Modem users get the error message of Cannot connect to server error 0x800ccc0e. Technet says that error usually means the port is not open but people on DSL/etc can send and Idon’t have ANY ports blocked to test.
On my laptop through a DSL connection can send mail. I unplug the DSL, log into an ISP with a modem and try sending again, same laptop and no go! HELP!
Why no sending b/c of speed? We’ve got a full T-1 for the email server so that can’t be an issue. This problem has also crept up on 2 other servers (each seperate, 1 NT4 1 W2K). Anyone???
