Outlook Express

By dlucas ·
I currently have a Windows 2000 Domain using Group Policy to implement security to the desktops. Is there a way to either get rid of outlook express or use the group policy to disallow the use of outlook express?

You can use the add/remove programs to uninstall the software,or go to start>run>type in regedit-locate the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE_SOFTWARE-Locate Outlook Express in the sub tree, right click on it in the drop down menu select delete, you will be asked toconfirm the deletion of the key.

You must keep in mind though that Outlook 2000 uses Outlook Express for its MAPI32 files, so if you delete Outlook Express, then Outlook will not work...
Good Luck,
Honestly, I would just take the shortcuts away...
