Outlook Express

By john.cb1 ·
When Outlook Express opens I get a small info bar at the bottom, I have tried to get rid of it by using
View/Layout menu and then unticked the info box and them clicked apply.

But every time I start Outlook Express I get it back again.

I also have to click on the maximise button as it opens in a minimize.

Any ideas on how to cure this problem.

please check the name of the advertising company from which this info bar is coming for example: "tech info bar" then do the following:

click "run"
type "regedt32"
click "search"
type the name "techinfobar" or anyone of them like only "tech" etc (you get the idea)

if you find it then delete that line (only that one please)

Note: registry editing shud be done if you have some experince with the registry.

IF the problem persists Dial 911 (hey kidding)

well, only rip into registry if you can't find the search bar to uninstall in Control Panel/Add Remove programs. consider downloading and running Ad-Aware PE from www.lavasoftusa.com

Good advise sgt_shultz
get the update for Ad-Aware before run it.
Ad-Aware will fix alot of other problmes on your PC/Laptop.
run Ad-Aware often to help your PC/Laptop clean of most the junk the you get from the web.
and get the updates every week or days.

Good Luck
Glen
