You need to find your mailbox and personal folders. Your mailbox will be most likely called "Mailbix.pab" if you can't find it just search for *.pab in your Find Files and Computers. aLSO SEARCH FOR "*.PST" which is the file extension of your personal folder. once you have found these files, (Their could be duplicates seing as you now have a fresh inbox and no folders) go to the control panel, select the mail and Fax option, edit the properties of your services and set the locations of your files. To get the personal folders to change seing as the file location is greyed out, remove the service and re-install it but give it the location of your personal file, also do the same with your mailbox if you need. Send me a email if you want to clarify anything I have said.

Check the dates of the files that you find when you search to give you a better idea of which file you actually want.

If you are using Windows look in:
windows\application data\identities and look through each of the SID numbers to find your old files. The address book will be found under microsoft\address book instead of identities - files ending wab.

In NT you will find same in winnt\profiles\username\application data as before

You should be able to copy or import these to your current identity (create a local folder and find it in one of the identities to see who you are!)

make sure run the express utility to backup your emails to another directory or
To back up the folder, find the folder file, and then copy it to a backup folder, floppy disk, or network drive. Outlook Express mail folders have a .dbx extension (for example, "Sent Items.dbx").

good luck

you must search in your hard disk for all
*.dbx files in your hard disk and then copy
them to the current mail store folder and replace the mail boxes. After copy the files delete the folders.dbx file and start outlook express. the program must recognize the new folders and messages.
excuse me for my bad english :)
