In Outlook Express, I want to resize the text in HTML Email. Using VIEW/TEXT SIZE will not work, because the HTML email is using embedded styles, which VIEW/TEXT SIZE cannot override.
The only way to override the embedded styles is to use CONTROL PANEL/INTERNET OPTIONS/GENERAL/ACCESSIBILITY. Put a check-mark in IGNORE FONT STYLES, and IGNORE FONT SIZES. Unfortunately, this will affect INTERNET EXPLORER as well. OUTLOOK EXPRESS uses INTERNET EXPLORER to display embedded styles in email.
My best solution was to install, and use, a different browser (I installed FIREFOX). After that, CONTROL PANEL/INTERNET OPTIONS affected only HTML email styles in OUTLOOK EXPRESS. FIREFOX is not dependent on INTERNET OPTIONS settings.
To really cure this problem. Microsoft should put a style override function in OUTLOOK EXPRESS, which is separate from style override in INTERNET EXPLORER.
If anyone finds this solution useful, please respond to this post.

When creating a new email go to View|Toolbars and select the Formatting Toolbar where you can easily change the font size. <br> If you like Mozilla's browser you might want to give their email software a shot. I use Mozilla's Thunderbird for my email. It's free and rich in features.
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
