Outlook Express & Links

By itcanada ·
I have a customer who uses XP and outlook express.
Upon receiving an e-mail in outlook express they are unable to access a link enclosed in the e-mail by clicking on it. The hand appears when placing the cursor above the link, but nothing happens. They are forced to copy the link to their web browser, then they can view it after hitting enter.
Thanks for any help.

Are they using a popup blocker or spyware software? Also XP SP2 has a pop-up blocker built in. I believe most use the ctrl button as a bypass. Hold the ctrl and click the link.

I do not know if this will work but it's worth a try.

Open IE and then left click on "Tools" scroll down to "Internet Options" and Left Click on this then when the window opens left click on "Advanced" and then at the bottom of the window click on "Restore Defaults" if this doesn't work the Security is set too high and will not allow any of this to work so you will need to reset the security level to Medium and change a few other Security options but if you change to Medium and keep the defaults things should work.

Lets know if that was of any use to you.
