Outlook Express synchs and deletes

by bigd3000 . Updated 23 years, 9 months ago

I’ve configured hotmail to work through Outlook Express 6 on my PC. I was at first unclear as to how Outlook synchronizes its Inbox and subfolders based on what the hotmail.com website contains for my username. I looked through all folders, and realized that I had all of the messages on the hotmail site in my local Outlook Express folders. I then emptied the inbox and folders to make more room on the website, in case I’m travelling and am not able to download the messages at home. An hour or two later, I looked at my local Outlook Express folders, and THEY ARE ALL EMPTY!!!! I lost tons of messages, and I cannot figure out how to retrieve them. PLEASE tell me how to retrieve these messages – is there a way?? (they are not in my recycle bin in any form) – and how to stop this from happening in the future. Help!!! PLEASE! Yes…I’m begging =\
