    Outlook IMAP categories problem

    Hello, I have read Susan Harkins post “Reclaim Outlook categories for IMAP accounts” , with helpfull informations.

    I tried insert cattegory to the email by shortcut and it’s OK withou any problem (or popup questions).

    But when I want to add another category by right clicking on actual category, outlook want to save the message and after clicking YES-save the message error message will appear “the item cannot be saved because it was changed by another user or in another window. Do you want to make a copy?”

    Do you have any solve for this problem? Thank you very much. Have a nice day.

      I suppose you mean this article from January 2016: https://www.techrepublic.com/article/reclaim-outlook-categories-for-imap-accounts/ . That’s right?

      – It says it works in Outlook 2016 (and 2010 and 2013). What version are you using?
      – Did you close the email after assigning the first category and open it again to assign the second? That might make a difference.

        Yes, that’s the article what I mean.
        My outlook versieon is 2021.
        I did close the email after assigning the first category and open it again.

          Then (re)install an older version of Outlook (or find a laptop or PC that still has it) and try ther.

          It’s company PC, so I’m not enable to install older version.
          But today I have a luck and found macro, which open category menu and it goes well.
