When entering a business phone # in a contact you can enter 2222222222 and Outlook 2000 will format it as (222) 222-2222. One client recently stopped formatting this field and gives an Outlook error “Operation Failed” when you enter a phone number in any format other than (222) 222-2222. Why did this client stop automatically formatting this field / why the error and how do I get it back the way it was?
