Outlook out of office assistant

By richard ·
Ive got a user with a windows 2000 PC running outlook 2000 in an exchange 5.5 environment. When he enables his out of office assistant, no one gets a reply. Outlook knows it's on however, as it asks him if he wants to switch it off when he opens outlook. Any ideas??

I had this problem on my own email. It just happened with my profile - no matter where I logged on etc. I tried everything, and in the end had to delete my mailbox and recreate it. This worked & was not too drastic, as I was able to get all my mail back from archived folders.

I agree with NICS. We also had a user whose Out Of Office we couldn't get to work no matter what we did. In the end, creating a new mailbox and moving his stuff into it did the trick.
