Outlook Prints to wrong printer

by monte admin . Updated 24 years, 7 months ago

Ok, weird one here. On a client machine we have a user who has Outlook and Windows 2000. With a message closed he clicks on print (the icon, not file print) which when he hovers over the icon it says it is going to the research dept’s printer (theone he wants) but it prints to the accounting printer. Both printers are on the same printer they are Lexmark Optra printers. If you open the print queue when he prints it shows it is going to the accounting printer although some messages print tothe appropriate printer. I noticed in technet that there is a fix for this in Outlook 2002 by changing the print setup in IE, as html documents use IE’s default printer. This didn’t work. I have deleted and reinstalled both printers, still nothing. very bizzare. When you print directly to the pritner (file, print) it works just fine. Any suggestions?
