Outlook read receipts repeating once every second

I sent out an email on Friday and then later replied to it. Both the original email and the reply requested read receipts from all recipients. For one particular individual, I am now getting a read receipt every second for that email. The specific person has Outlook 2003. I have Outlook 2007. Any ideas?
