I’ve done this on one machine and can’t figure out how I did it! Aargh! I installed Outlook 2000 on a Windows 98 computer. I have one particular program that is not compatible with Novell Groupwise, so I installed Outlook to use the Novell Default Settings profile, and it worked great on one computer. Now, that computer’s shot, so I’m trying to duplicate this on the 2nd computer. Before Outlook is installed, if I go to Control Panel’s Mail applet, it shows the profile of Novell Default Settings, and even provides an option to specify that for the Outlook default. Once Outlook is installed, profiles can no longer be viewed. When opening the Mail applet, it opens the same setup you see when clicking on Tools in Outlook and going to Accounts. How can I tell Outlook to use the Novell Default Settings profile? The first computer that worked had both Groupwise and Outlook installed and they were both using the same profile. I’m trying to do the exact same thing with this computer. Microsoft knowledge base says to check the option to specify profile on Outlook startup in Tools..Accounts, but I don’t see that option anywhere.
