I am looking for code or a third-party product to manage Outlook Tasks. Our problem is visibility to status of assigned recurring tasks as a completion update is not sent until the end of the recurrence series. Do you know of a product that can include a Master Task repository, the ability to set recurrence on these tasks and eventually issue/or assign each instance of recurrence for each task to an individual to complete. We then need the completion status to travel back up to the database for historical reporting and to send email reminder if the task is still outstanding.
I?ve looked at several products already (SQLView, Taskline) and they are not appropriate for our needs. I?m thinking we may need to set up our own SQL database as a repository, and initiate each task from there, but that would require programming code to manage the tasks. If you know of sql code to assist with this, that would also qualify for points here.
