I receive attachments on a daily basis. Recently, I got a new laptop with Windows Vista and put Office 2003 on it. When I try to open an attachment, it wants to save it. I don’t have a problem opening the attachment if I save it first and then open it like any other document on my hard drive. I do not have Google Desktop installed and never have. I say this because I have read other threads that state that Google Desktop has caused this problem before.
