Outlook Won't Connect

By J.Runn ·
Good day,

I am having issues with a users Outlook not responding. I have completed at least 10 more before this one and all have been done the same. I have the correct address for the exchange server. I am connected to the domain through our VPN client so I am not sure why Outlook cannot connect. I can ping and connect via remote desktop to the exchange server.

Does anyone have any clue why this won't connect?

Thanks!

Cheers

Fragmentation, Kerberos, UDP....

by robo_dev In reply to Outlook Won't Connect

By default Windows authentication uses kerberos protocol, which uses UDP by default. UDP is a connectionless protocol that will fail if there are out-of-order packets (fragmentation)..typically caused by a noisy line and/or MTU issues.

One thing to try is to force Kerberos to use TCP, which makes it more robust.
