Outlook XP Fault?

By Virgoan ·
I have an user trying to attachment a file from Access (File|Send to|Mail Recipient(as attachment)) to MS Outlook but was unable to use the "SEND" icon to send out...! OS is WinXP(Pro)-SP4

I have asked to try on another 2 PCs (running on Win9 with the same Access and Outlook; these 2 PCs are okay...!

Any idea why this funny thing could happened???

Outlook XP Fault?

I know of several problems receiving attachments but this is the first to do with sending and attachement (other than an oversized attachement that is). I would be checking all the Outlook configuration settings in the Outlook Tools menu to see if you have an obscure security setting that restricts that option.

I have a vague memory of some obscure security setting available in some newer mail programs that can be set to stop certain types of files being attached, thus limit the ability of staff sending confidential material of certain types. If this is in this version of Outlook (I use an older version so not sure on yours) then database files like Access would be a natural for such protection.

I yet to know its solution for this..even MS Community Group also can't give the answer. Anyway, i have used Outlook Express as an alternative way to solve this problem. Now, my user is happy with it...!
