“Overlapped IO operation in progress”

When attempting to print (a text file in notepad) the following error message appears: overlapped IO operation in progress. I checked TechNet, Microsoft Knowledge base, Techrepublic and references were found. The only thing I’ve come across is a listing of NT error codes. The error number is 997L. Has anyone seen this and more importantly know how to fix it? I’ve reinstalled the printer, repaired the Win2K installation and various other attempts to print. (Network printer) Any ideas??
