Overlapping transparencies in Illustrator

By jphillips ·
I am working in illustrator to create a magazine ad. I have inserted a .psd file that does NOT have a background. But for some reason, it is creating transparencies in other parts of the ad where the images overlap. It only shows up when I print though (does not show up in the .ai file or the .pdf). Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of this transparency caused by overlapping images?

RE: "other parts of the ad"...

Sorry, but I can't SEE the ad from here in Scotland.

Perhaps you could elucidate slightly further?
For example:- you've only made mention of ONE image that has NO background but you haven't specified what it is overlapping with.

Have you given any thought as to which of the overlapping images is AT THE FRONT?

As I say - you've only ever mentioned one image so where is the overlap occurring?

Also, are you sure you are using a PSD file that was generated on the SAME platform that you have imported it to?
