I have a Acer 4920G laptop + a 250GB HDD with 2 partitions(1. Vista 2. Data files). For some reason the vista started giving Boot MGR missing Press CTRL+ALt+Del message. On Booting with UBCD the Vista partition appeared as Unallocated space. In an attempt to recover the OS, I overwrote the MBR with a standard mbr code using a utility from UBCD.
Now the whole disk appears as unallocated space. How do I recover the partitions? Will the partition recovery softwares recover partition from HDD with MBR and partition tables totally messed up?
