OWA does not work for some employees

Outlook Web Access does not work for a few employees. However, it works for everyone else. These employees receive an error of:

The page cannot be found
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Please try the following:

* Make sure that the Web site address displayed in the address bar of your browser is spelled and formatted correctly.
* If you reached this page by clicking a link, contact the Web site administrator to alert them that the link is incorrectly formatted.
* Click the Back button to try another link.

HTTP Error 404 - File or directory not found.
Internet Information Services (IIS)

Technical Information (for support personnel)

* Go to Microsoft Product Support Services and perform a title search for the words HTTP and 404.
* Open IIS Help, which is accessible in IIS Manager (inetmgr), and search for topics titled Web Site Setup, Common Administrative Tasks, and About Custom Error Messages.


I have researched this error for days and have not come up with a solution 0r even a point in the right direction. I think it could be as simple as re-creating a user account but I would rather not have to do that if there is a solution to this.

I have Windows Server 2003 and Exchange Server 200 all on one machine - my domain controller.

I am not sure what other information is needed but am willing to provide what is necessary.

It sounds like a DNS issue

can they find the page by starting off going to the IP address?

Also, look into desktop firewalls. They may have 'blocked' the connection.

DNS & Firewall were fixed

We upgraded from a dsl to t1 line and did have DNS and firewall issues. After configuring the DNS and firewall properly, and contacting MS Technical support for errors the server had on group policies, everything was back to normal..........until I discovered that a select few users can successfully login to OWA, but once they are logged in- the pages displayed are the http://ect.....file not found.

I just don't get why it is only occurring for somee users and not others.

Dont look at the company firewall

look at the desktop firewall. Some users may have accidentally blocked these items.

I happen to be one of the user accounts that does not work. It is not a desktop firewall issue. I have tried logging in with multiple computers on different networks. I can log in but then OWA is displayed with the error pages. However, if I log out and log in as one of my employees, OWA works perfect. There are only 5 or 6 people that it does not work for.

I am stumped...
