Hi, Please help me to find a solution/Software so that, I can monitor all the packets in the Local Area Network ment for a particular port number. I have NT with Win2000 machines.

Microsoft has basic Network Monitor, but it only works for LAN, ps(not for monitoring non-LAN). It will give u the MAC address, Short description of the traffic (including the port number), IP address of the other computer(if not give a bios name),and IP or UDP protocol. You can also see the packet if u are so incline.

To Install it, goto add/remove programs, under windows componets, click network management tools, then click network monitor.
I have Win2000 client machine and the server is NT. The main question is it should give me the IP of the initiator of all the packets of the network (wheather it is ment for me or not) ment for a particular port. Tell me other methods/software.
