Page Cannot be Displayed or DNS Error

Hi,

Recently my home PC crashed and I had to reformat and re-install everything. I installed Win2k with SP3 and IE6 with SP1. I am dialling to the ISP and connecting with NO problems. Whenever I try to browse the internet I get an error message “page cannot be displayed or DNS error”. I have checked DNS settings. All Okay. I can ping the web sites and it resolves name to IP. I installed Firefox and it works fine but this is a workaround.

I would appreciate if someone can help to resolve this problem.
