i don't know the answer to that question. the page file is a temporary scratch area used by, er, Windows...i suppose you could try opening it with WordPad...let me know if you can read anything in there...

I have never seen a reason to try reading the page or swap file. What are you trying to achieve??

pagefile.sys is your virtual memory file.

If you do find a reader, you will need to decode the binary data into something intelligible.
Reading the page file is the same as reading your raw RAM data lines.

Further, Windows will NOT allow you to access the page file while Windows is running.

The data in the file is dynamic. If there are no running programs, the page file will be nearly blank.

Take your HDD and Plug it to another computer with the same OS, (OS MUST support the same File System), copy your pagefile like a usual file and have a FUN with it.
