This one is straight forward. I have an XP pro system that progressively uses a larger and larger page file. It starts out around 83 MB and slowly crawls upward until the machine doesn’t have enough memory to even shut down.
This happens while the system is sitting idle, with nothing running except the default services, Norton Anti-virus.
Only answers. Don’t give links to Microsoft. And don’t suggest increasing pagefile size. Thats not a fix. Its a band-aid.
