paging file error

Using a win2k OS after log-in, i encounterd this error “YOUR SYSTEM HAS NO PAGING FILE, PAGING FILE IS TOOO SMALL”. I followed the instructions like going to my computer go to advanced settingsand try to increase bala bla bla….bla…I even tried to boot in safe mode, vga safe mode but i still encounterd the same problem. my Pc kept of prompting these problem every time i logged in. what should i do to troubleshoot it
