paging file error

By Darius72 ·
I have a Micron Transport Trek 2 P-III running Win 2K. I did a clean install and so far it has run perfect. Recently a paging file error has started. I have followed the recommendations on correcting the problem, yet it still exist. I started with the inital size and worked up to the maxium size and still no luck. I even doubled the max and nothing. Each time I restart, it drops back to the initial size and still the paging error.

Min paging file size is 1.5 times the amount of RAM installed, max 2.5 times the amount of RAM installed. To optimize perfomance of the paging file, move the paging file from the boot partition to a different phisical disk. Set min size of the pagingfile eg. 192MB same as max size to 192MB. Why? The paging file starts at a certain size and is configured to expand as memory needs increase. Evry time the paging file expands, it takes system resources to resize the file.
