Paging File Problem

By eisublime ·
I am running Windows 2000 Pro on a workstation at home, and I recently created an account on it for my sister so that she wouldn't have to bother with all my programs and such. When I tried to log her in, I all of a sudden started getting Virtual Memory errors. When I changed the size of my paging file, regardless of how big I make it, it tells me that the paging file size is 20MB. How can I make my change stick?

Log on as admin, right click on MY computer => properties=>advance=>Performance options=>change=> CHange sizes and click set. Then close and reboot. Microsoft says that page files should be at least 1.5 time the memory. http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q197/3/79.asp

Only with admin rights you can change the paging file, and a reboot is a must.
By the other way, I think that the problem may be a profile problem.
As you create an account for your sister, a new profile is created which may contains paths to applications not autorized to your sister.
Log in with admin rights, go to winnt/profiles, delete her profile and make her to log in once again.
