at my business there are a lot of people (doctors) who carry cell phones and pagers. they want to get rid of the pagers and just use cell phones with alpha-numeric paging abilities. the problem is when you page a cell phone it is not the same as paging a pager in exchange/outlook. cell phones page via an email type of address (123-234-3456@blank.blank.net)we cannot figure out how to make paging a cell phone as easy as a pager-open outlook click on new message click on TO: and choose John Doe Pager. the only way i can get it to work is to create my own contacts list and instead of adding an email address i add the cell phone page info. that is not a viable solution because as you know end users can be rather stupid.any suggestions (by the way if there is an answer to this it would mean we would be cutting costs 🙂
