Paint, backup + others disappear…

Hi

On two systems running Windows 95, I have noticed that cdplayer, wordpad, paint and backup have been deleted without any user intervention. I first noticed this on a private machine about two years ago, and more recently, on one of the computers on the work’s network. In each instance I replaced the programs using Add/Remove programs, but had to do it twice, as after the first ‘restore’ they had been deleted again.

The programs in question are infrequently used, except for wordpad, which is used every day. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Can you help?
