Palm BMP format

Hello,

I just want to convert a Windows BMP to PDB file in PalmOS. For that where will I get a Palm Bitmap format, which include the header and raster data.

To view images on the PalmOS device you need to install an application on your palm.

There are many available depending on the size of the picture and what you want to do with it.

Most will come with a program that runs on your desktop that will allow you to make the conversion so the image can be viewed on the Palm.

A couple of examples are FireViewer and AlbumToGo. Both have conversion software available.

FireViewer is ideal for any type of image from a map or detail drawing toa photograph. It can even do movies now.

AlbumToGo is more suited to photographs that you may want to carry with you.

There are many programs to choose from. You can get these and look for others at http://www.palmgear.com/

You don’t have to install anything on your Palm. There is a small program for Windows called Pilot Install (you will find it on palmgear.com). It’s a free program which can conver^t .bmp and .jpg images to palm format. The files are palm “applications” – they don’t need any additional viewer.
IMO it’s very interesting solution.
