I have recently purchased the cd writer (name in topic) along with 5 CD’s (manufacturer is verbatim). When I tried to use the included software (Prassi Primo CD plus version 2.0), it wont let me burn cd’s over 3MB. First, I thought it was because I had long filenames. so I removed that and tried again. still no luck. Now I tried to copy about 5 files totalling about 3.5MB all in the same folder and the files follow the ISO level 1 format. It wont let me do that either. At first I assume that the software is screwed up. but then when I tried it with nero, it gives me a scsi timeout error YET I am using an IDE drive! so I have figured that my problem is that the CD drive is equipped with a timeout value and somewhere in my system, it is set too low. Is there a value in the registry I can change which also changes the timeout value or is there software I can download?
I need help here and I only need to backup 250MB data!
