PARAMETER QUERIES IN MICROSOFT ACCESS 2000

By RCBLT ·
THE PARAMETER QUERY I CREATED WILL ONLY ALLOW ME TO ENTER ONE PARAMETER. FOR EXAMPLE: UNDER THE FIELD TITLED YEAR, I CAN ONLY ENTER ONE YEAR (LIKE 1950) AND GET THE INFO I NEED FOR A REPORT. HOWEVER, I WANT TO USE THE LOGICAL OR AND THE LOGICAL AND TO TYPE MORE THAN ONE YEAR. FOR EXAMPLE 1950 OR 1951. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN?

Easy Fix

by RCBLT In reply to PARAMETER QUERIES IN MICR ...

OK Roy, when you prepare the Parameter Query, under FIELD criteria enter it this way:

[YEAR1] OR [YEAR2] OR [YEAR3]

Make a copy of this and paste it in the parameter portion of the dialog box.

If more than 3 years are needed, just modify with another year like: OR [YEAR4]

You will get a different dialog box for each year you need.

You're welcome.
