Parellel Desktops

By blckspder ·
Someone I know is determined to buy a new mac with the intel chip... One of the reasons is because you can now run that parallel software, so you can use pc apps simultaneously with mac programs.....
I myself dont really care for this.. I am an avid mac user and I dont care for MS at all really... Mac OS is a perfectly capable operating system, I dont understand the need to use 2 OS's like that.. does anyone else have any input on this topic??

Not a Mac fan

I have a user that uses Parallels. In order to use it effectively you will need double the memory you would otherwise have. Also Parallels does not support USB printing yet. Currently it is hit or miss. I had it working for a little while, then it just stopped.

In our case the Mac does not play well wih the rest of our environment. They need to have the MS OS in order to accomplish some tasks.
