Hello All,
I have a question to ask?
On a friends Windows XP SP-2 PC he has his C: Basic Boot partition NTFS @ 9.79 GB and 711MB FREE
His DATA partition F: which is also basic and NTFS @ 27.49 GB and 13.82GB FREE
On the C: Boot partition; he is always running out of space when ever he tries to install software or for that matter can not defrag because he has less then 15%, as well at this time he has 711MB Free on the boot partition (C), and this is after doing a disk clean up, and I mean removing everything that was not neccessary.
On the F: DATA Partition; he has 13.82GB FREE. I would like to use Partition Magic 8 to reduce the size of his F: partition and reclaim some of his unused space. Then use that unused space to extend his C: Boot Partition. I have never used Partition Magic before, never had the oppertunity. He also has alot of DATA that I do not want loose on him. He does not have a means to back up his data at this time other then using his CD-RW or ZIP Drive, Not enough CD_R’s or Zip Drives, which makes me very uncomfortable.
Do any of you have any suggestions for me, will this work or do you have a better suggestion. I must admit I would like to try this and have it work as it would be a very COOL fix for his problem.
All suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated !!
Cheers,
Michael
