I have a version on disappearing partitions in W7 that beats all others I have read.
I have dual boot 4 partitions on each drive. W7 is on the first drive and from this I ran an .exe that was on the other drive call it Part 8.
After a reboot from Win 7 I can not see the 8th partition at all.
However if I boot into the old XP on the second drive, that does see that partition intact.
So it would be tricky to use any tool to recreate that partition, – because it is there allright, – it is just that Win 7 does not see it.
PS: I went into Disk Management: Disk Manager does see the partition. I tried to re-scan. Anyways My Computer does not have it.
