I am fixing a computer and I am having issues with the drive letters. Last time I reformatted and reinstalled windows xp, my D: drive was changed to C:, and I was forced to install XP on D:. This is one drive with 2 partitions.
I am about to be reformatting again and I would like to install windows on C:, but in windows, DOS and other partition management software, the partition I want to install windows on is still D:. Is there a way to change the drive letter from D: to C: and C: to D: without involving windows?
I have data currently on C: (I want to make it D: ) that I need and can’t move it to another drive. Deleting all partitions and starting fresh is not an option.
Thanks in advance for your answers!
