By dave.angradi ·
Would like to know what the commands would be to set userid passwords to expire requiring users to change them after 60 days.

Password aging on HP-UX and Solaris

Password aging, as it is referred to, deals with systems that are running shadowed passwords.

Upon the HP-UX system, only a trusted setup can have the password aging enabled. HP-UX systems default to non-trusted. For more information on this in comparison to a non-trusted system, check here: http://archives.neohapsis.com/archives/hp/2001-q2/0036.html

For Solaris, you must be running w/ shadowed passwords. Here is a man page with some basic information on how to setup password aging: http://uwsg.iu.edu/usail/man/solaris/passwd.1.html
