Password Change Procedure

By craig ·
(NT 4.0 SP6 environment using Compaq SE for SP6) I need a document to come up with procedures and rules for using the network when a user changes their password, is forced to change their password or their account first created. This document can be accepted or declined but when accepted the users name should be added to a database to say they have accepted the document if declined the user should be logged out of the system.

I believe by using User Profiles & System Policies, in conjunction with some custom registry tweaks, you can accomplish your objective. Check the following MS-Knowledgebase article (Q185589). I know you can popup a custom dialog on logon that displays an OK confirmation button, but the "log user off if they don't agree" option may require custom coding, or registry tweaks.

Good luck.
