password control panel disabled

i have a workstation that i need to set up multiple users on. but the passwords in control panel says it has been disabled by the system administrator. i am the sys admin and the old one did this how can i undo this? it is using win 95.

Try this registry edit.

This options disables access to the Passwords icon on the the control panel, therefore stopping users from changing security related settings.


Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
Value Name: NoSecCPL
Data Type: REG_DWORD
Data: (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled)

There's two ways you can do this...One would be to create a policy for yourself and associate it with your NT Login. The other way would be to break out the Poledit (on your win95 CD) and reenable that under current user.
