Password Entry Dialog

By IQorEQ ·
I have encountered difficult experiences with this little box while checking
email.

PASSWORD ENTRY DIALOG

The mail server responded:
Mail storage service unavailable,
wait for a few minutes and try again.

It has been really irritated because I could not ONLY kill its task nor jump into other task to run. Moreover, my PC was totally hung up. Any solution or explanation would be much appreciated.

what email software are you using? if its outlook it sounds like a mapi error. try checking your settings by using the mail applet in control panel, or create a new profile connecting to your mailbox (if you dfind it hangs when you try to change your existing settings then i would consider reinstalling your outlook, or upgrading to a later version - there are about 5 versions of outlook 97, some of which work better than others...)

Thanks for your answer, Ishmael.

I am using Netscape Vers. 4.75 not Outlook. You have any idea?

eeek - sorry, i have no idea about netscape, other than it can be pretty buggy. have you installed all current patches etc? if that doesn't work maybe a new mail client? for my money it is still likely to be a mapi error, as mapi is not particularlywell written, and combined with netscape it may well be horrible...
sorry i have no other answer for you, i hope you sort it out.
