I am using Linux Red Hat 7.3 and Samba 2 and we set up a password expiration of 30 days on the Linux user profile, when the password expires the user is not alerted and most important, the Samba does not deny the access to the drives mapped at the server, the user can use normally the server as a file and print server, the only one thing that is blocked is the login direct to the linux (using telnet). Is it a security failure or a misconfiguration?
