I have a work laptop and I do work for home from time to time connect through a dsl modem. The problem I’m having is that I re-configured my network settings on my laptop to that at my home. Basically my laptop is set up to recieve a ip address through DHCP from work when I log in, but since I want to connect my laptop to my desktop at home I’ve changed the setting from being a domain to workgroup and gave it a static ip. Now when I reboot the laptop I would hit Ctrl-Alt-del for password I would enter my password as I would normally, but this time it won’t let me in. Is there something I’m forgetting to do? It’s not excepting anything I’m putting in. I hope this is now serious.
Any suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated.
