Password Protect USB Drive

By Tlittle88 ·
I am looking for a way to password protect a USB drive.
It needs to be simple.
-Insert drive.
-Ask for password
-Opens files

I have tried TrueCrypt but it requires Administrator rights on the machine which I don't always have.

I travel allot so I need to have it portable because I don't always use the same computer so software that installs onto one machine isn't going to help.

I have been looking for a while and can't find anything that just simple password protects the drive.

FYI I have a 16GB SanDisk Cruzer and a Kingston 16GB Data Traveller

Any ideas?

Buying A New Stick.

I don't really want to have to buy a new stick it would be better to just find some software to install onto the stick that will provide password protection.

Plus I have looked at getting a new stick and at ?50 a GB I don't think it would be worth shelling out for when there is a piece of software that could help.

Password Protect USB Drive

As far as I know, Kakasoft USB Security is a usb data security program that can password protect your USB storage device, not a antivirus. While it has the feature to prevent virus attack and defend data in the USB disk.
