Password Question

By steveg ·
On Windows Advanced Server, how do prevent having to have to re-enter passwords to access other hard drives on my network every time I either reboot the server or not access those remote hard drives for a few days. The server does not remember the passwords permanently like a Windows 98 machine does. Any suggestions?

Password Question

by rulds In reply to Password Question

One option would be to map the drives from my computer/tools menu. Mind you that each time you reboot the system would reastablish those connections you have mapped and it does not ask you for a password as it does so. This seems to be the easiest way and as for the inactivity over a few days all you have to do if they are mapped is go to my computer and click on the drive once and it "wakes up" and is ready to go again, no password no login or anything. Hope this helps Trent.
