I am running win2k pro and lately when I go to the command prompt (Start, Run, cmd) it takes me to the C: prompt, but I cannot run commands like ping, ipconfig, etc without changing to the \windows\system32 directory first. It was working fine and now it’s not and I am not aware of any changes to the system that would have caused this. It’s a path statement in DOS, but I haven’t been able to find anything in the resource kit or help file. Any ideas how I can correct it so I can run the commands without changing directories?
