Hi! I've just been trying out some commands, and decided to try out pathping. First, I pinged a site to find out its ip address. Then I typed in pathping ipaddress -i. The command started, I got the line 0---my computer info, then line 1---my Ip address, then line 2 started, and a message appeared from my task bar saying my network card was disconnected. I looked at the cable modem, and the light for my connection was out. The other lights were on, showing that modem connection was good. Then I got a line: Computing statistics for 50 seconds... Source to here This Node/Link Hop RTT Lost/Sent = Pct Lost/Sent = Pct Address 0 (my computer info)
What happened? I pathpinged another site and the same thing happened, except line 2 stated: Destination host unreachable after the network card disconnected message. After that I received a similar output as above. Is this the way it's supposed to work, or do these sites have some sort of security built in that I should know about to implement on a network? Any and all responses will greatly appreciated. Thanks.
