PC Accessing Phone Line via My NTWrkstn

By jpw5345 ·
How do I set up my NT Workstation 4.0 machine to allow another pc to use it to access a phone line? I have to set up a software demo for a vendor who needs access to an analog line. The line is in my office but the demo will be in a separate room where there is network access.

I assume what you are actually wanting to share is a modem, not just a phone line? In any case there is no way to do this natively within NT. You need a third party app such as SAPS or ModemShare that allows sharing of modems that are connected toservers and/or workstations on a network. Hope this helps!
