How do I make PC Anywhere work between 2 computers at diferent locations over a DSL connection? It seems that I need to configure the DSL router maybe.

PC Anywhere requires a static IP address. So using dynamic address my cause problems.
Try using http://www.dynaip.com/ to a host name.

You need to configure your router to forward the appropriate pcAnywhere ports to the internal IP address of the workstation as well. So, for example, if your router has a public IP addy of 204.2.1.2, your router IP addy is 192.168.1.1 and your workstation IP is 192.168.1.2, you need to forward the incoming pcAnywhere traffic to 192.168.1.2. The commonly used ports for pcAnywhere are 5631 and 5632. You can, however, custom configure these if you want by changing the settings in the pcAnywhere program preferences.

Hope this helps!

Just try LogMein

If PC Anywhere seems too complicated here, and it is really, just try LogMein. It is free or cheap and really easy.
