I have a PC on our network, running XP and has just started to show slowdown problems when asked to print invoices from QuickBooks Pro. It seems (to the user..she is our Admin person and the only one running QuickBooks) that just this week Monday that when she asks to have something printed the PC will go out and look around for about 30-40 seconds before it will come back with the list of available printers and this looking around time was almost instant before Monday. According to her there was nothing changed or updated during that time. I realize that Updated from Microsoft come in and get installed in the background so I take that with a grain of salt.
Mind you that it is not just QuickBooks that this happens on. Printing from Word the list comes up instantly. Also once the list is generated within QuickBooks and you ask to print a second copy of the invoice the list is instant.
I have searched the QuickBooks site and have Googled the web but haven’t got a good search string yet to get good answers.
Any suggestions, comments, jokes…etc are most welcome.
